I have, now that you've made me do it :P

Triptych to Terra

bamboo growing tall
pointy tips marking new life
seed pods flood the sky

piano’s soft voice
colourful banners flying
insect conquerors

dancing on the clouds
a thousand tiny foot-falls
high in the bright sky
"Our imagination spans that infinite moment, between the asterisk and the ampersand."

Hi Candicat, welcome!

Thanks for sharing your short story. I found it hard hitting because it deals with such an important issue - consent. I really enjoyed the meanderings of the character's mind in the first part of the story. The bleeding gums and eel-like kiss made me go eww, and think we were heading for a horror story. I was so relieved at the end!

In the third paragraph, I wanted to know more of the details about them. What was the band on his t-shirt? What creek was it? How many eels had they seen? Maybe we could hear a bit of dialogue there? The part about the magnesium made me laugh.

Thanks again for sharing. Great to have you on the forum :-)
